Modifying the Virtual Network Port ID on Each Storage Node

Modifying the Virtual Network Port ID on Each Storage Node

If the VLAN ID of the back-end storage network switch is not 2, perform the following steps to change the virtual network port ID on each storage node:

  1. See chapter Logging In to the Storage Node Using the KVM in this appendix to log in to the storage node.
  2. Run sh /usr/bin/ ID to modify each node's virtual port ID. The ID must be an integer ranging from 2 to 9. Otherwise, the system will report an error.
ATF50-75:~ # sh /usr/bin/ 3 Successfully modified the virtual network port ID. Please reboot the system.
  3. Run reboot to restart the node.
  4. Optional: After restart, re-log in to the node, and run the ifconfig SLOT4-0.ID command to view the configuration of the virtual network port ID.
  5. ATF50-75:~ # ifconfig SLOT4-0.3
    SLOT4-0.3: flags=4163<UP,BROADCAST,RUNNING,MULTICAST> mtu 1500
