Regulatory Domain Profile

Regulatory Domain Profile

A regulatory domain profile provides configurations of country code, calibration channel, and calibration bandwidth for an RU. For details, see Configuring Country Codes and Radio Resource Management Configuration Guide (Central AP).
  • A country code identifies the country to which RU radios belong. Different countries support different RU radio attributes, including the transmit power and supported channels. Correct country code configuration ensures that radio attributes of RUs comply with laws and regulations of countries and regions to which the RUs are delivered. For details, see Configuring Country Codes.
  • A calibration channel set limits the dynamic RU channel adjustment range when the radio calibration function is configured. Radar channels and the channels that are not supported by STAs are avoided. For details, see Radio Resource Management Configuration Guide (Central AP).
  • The 5 GHz frequency band has richer spectrum resources. In addition to 20 MHz channels, RUs working on the 5 GHz frequency band support 40 MHz and 80 MHz channels, Different calibration bandwidths support different calibration channels. Larger-bandwidth channels mean higher transmission rates. However, at least three channels are required in radio calibration to achieve the optimal calibration effect. When configuring the calibration bandwidth, ensure that enough calibration channels are available for use. For details, see Radio Resource Management Configuration Guide (Central AP).
