Collecting iBMC SEL Logs

Function

Collect iBMC SEL logs.

Format

./urest -H HOST -p PORT -U USERNAME -P PASSWORD collectsel -F FILE

Parameters

Value

HOST

IPv4/IPv6 address or domain name of the server iBMC. It is a mandatory parameter. If an IPv6 address is used, the IPv6 address must be enclosed in parentheses, for example, [1001::1001].

PORT

Port number. The default value is 443. It is an optional parameter.

If the actual port number is not 443, enter the actual port number.

USERNAME

User name of the iBMC administrator. It is a mandatory parameter.

PASSWORD

Password of the iBMC administrator. It is a mandatory parameter.

FILE

Local path for saving the obtained log files. It is a mandatory parameter.

The value is in Directory/File name format.

The file path cannot contain spaces. If the path contains spaces:

  • On Windows, add three double quotation marks (""") before and after the path, for example, -F """D:\\test config\\config.json""".
  • On Linux, add a double quotation mark (") before and after the path, for example, -F "/home/test config/config.json".

  -F FILE     the path of file. Local export:Folder/File name.

Collect SEL logs.
