Create a user.

Format

./urest -H HOST -p PORT -U USERNAME -P PASSWORD adduser -N NEWUSERNAME -P NEWPASSWORD -R {Administrator,Operator,Commonuser,NoAccess,CustomRole1,CustomRole2,CustomRole3,CustomRole4}

Parameters

HOST

iBMC IP address or domain name. It is a mandatory parameter. If an IPv6 address is used, the IPv6 address must be included in square brackets, such as [1001::1001].

USERNAME

iBMC user name. It is a mandatory parameter.

Enter the port number if the default value 443 is not used.

PORT

Port number. The default value is 443. It is an optional parameter.

PASSWORD

Password of the iBMC user. It is a mandatory parameter.

NEWUSERNAME

Name of the newly created user. It is a mandatory parameter.

Range: a string of 1 to 16 characters

Setting rules:

  • The value must consist of letters, digits, and special characters, excluding spaces. The first character cannot be #.
  • Special characters cannot include the following: :<>&,'"/\%

NEWPASSWORD

Password of the newly created user. It is a mandatory parameter.

A string of a maximum of 20 characters

  • If the password complexity check function is enabled for other ports, the password must meet password complexity requirements.
  • If the password complexity check function is disabled for other ports, the password can be any string.

{Administrator,Operator,Commonuser,NoAccess,CustomRole1,CustomRole2,CustomRole3,CustomRole4}

Role of the newly created user. It is a mandatory parameter.

The available roles include:

  • Administrator
  • Operator
  • Commonuser
  • NoAccess
  • CustomRole1
  • CustomRole2
  • CustomRole3
  • CustomRole4
