Creating a RAID Configuration Resource of the Smart Provisioning Service

Function

Create a RAID controller card configuration resource of the Smart Provisioning service. Only the 3008IR RAID controller card is supported.

Format

./urest -H HOST -p PORT -U USERNAME -P PASSWORD addspcfg -T SPRAID -F FILE

Value

HOST

iBMC IP address or domain name. It is a mandatory parameter. If an IPv6 address is used, the IPv6 address must be included in square brackets, such as [1001::1001].

PORT

Port number. The default value is 443. It is an optional parameter.

Enter the port number if the default value 443 is not used.

USERNAME

iBMC user name. It is a mandatory parameter.

PASSWORD

Password of the iBMC user. It is a mandatory parameter.

SPRAID

Configuration type. It is a mandatory parameter.

SPRAID: configures the RAID.

FILE

Local path of the configuration file. It is a mandatory parameter.

  • Value format: Directory/File name
  • The configuration file needs to be prepared in advance. The file must be a .json file or a file of which the format is the same as that of a .json file (the file content is included in {}).
  • The configuration file content format is: "Configuration item":"Value", "Configuration item":"Value", ...; If the value of a configuration file is True, False, or a digit, the value does not need to be placed between quotation marks (").
  • The file path cannot contain spaces. If the path contains spaces:
    • On Windows, add three double quotation marks (""") before and after the path, for example, -F """D:\\test config\\config.json""".
    • On Linux, add a double quotation mark (") before and after the path, for example, -F "/home/test config/config.json".

Usage Guidelines

  • This function is supported only when the BIOS version of the FusionServer V5 server or TaiShan 200 server is later than 0.39 and the Smart Provisioning version is 115 or later.
  • Smart Provisioning must be installed on the server.

optional arguments:
  -h, --help            show this help message and exit
  -T {SPRAID,SPOSInstallPara}
                        create service type
  -F FILE               create SP the local configuration file in JSON format.
                        The file contains the attributes to be configured, for
                        example, {"attribute":"value", "attribute2":"value2"
                        ...}

Configure the RAID.

[root@localhost bin]# ./urest -H 10.10.10.10 -U ****** -P ****** addspcfg -T SPRAID -F /home/aa.json 
Success: successfully completed request
