Overview

Overview

The uREST tool command line tool is developed based on the Python language. It is a client tool used to connect to iBMC RESTful interfaces based on the HTTP protocol and RESTful interface protocol. It facilitates server management. Users can manage servers by using the query and configuration commands of this tool. This tool converts the original odata data into easy-to-use command line information to avoid the search of unnecessary information. This tool supports multiple OSs and can be used locally and remotely. It also supports user-defined extended commands and works with RESTful interfaces for server management. It is a new model suitable for network management. The uREST tool can communicate with the iBMA through the RESTful interface in in-band or out-of-band mode. Figure 1-1 shows the software architecture of the uREST tool.
