Set customized role permission.


./urest -H HOST -p PORT -U USERNAME -P PASSWORD setrole -R {CustomRole1,CustomRole2,CustomRole3,CustomRole4} -Pri {Login,ConfigureComponents,ConfigureSelf,Kvm,Vmm,SecurityMgmt,PowerControl,Diagnosis} [{Login,ConfigureComponents,ConfigureSelf,Kvm,Vmm,SecurityMgmt,PowerControl,Diagnosis} ...]






iBMC IP address or domain name. It is a mandatory parameter. If an IPv6 address is used, the IPv6 address must be included in square brackets, such as [1001::1001].



Port number. The default value is 443. It is an optional parameter.

Enter the port number if the default value 443 is not used.


iBMC user name. It is a mandatory parameter.



Password of the iBMC user. It is a mandatory parameter.


-R {CustomRole1,CustomRole2,CustomRole3,CustomRole4}

Customized role. It is a mandatory parameter.

  • CustomRole1
  • CustomRole2
  • CustomRole3
  • CustomRole4

-Pri {Login,ConfigureComponents,ConfigureSelf,Kvm,Vmm,SecurityMgmt,PowerControl,Diagnosis} [{Login,ConfigureComponents,ConfigureSelf,Kvm,Vmm,SecurityMgmt,PowerControl,Diagnosis} ...]

Customized role permission. It is a mandatory parameter.

One or multiple of the following permission is supported. You need to separate different permission by using spaces.

  • Login: login
  • ConfigureUsers: user configuration
  • ConfigureSelf: self-configuration
  • ConfigureComponents: common configuration
  • Kvm: remote control
  • Vmm: remote media
  • SecurityMgmt: security configuration
  • PowerControl: power control
  • Diagnosis: commissioning and diagnosis

Obtain help information.

[root@localhost bin]# ./urest -H -U ****** -P ****** setrole -h
usage: urest setrole [-h] -R 
                                [{Login,ConfigureComponents,ConfigureSelf,Kvm,Vmm,SecurityMgmt,PowerControl,Diagnosis} ...] 

optional arguments: 
  -h, --help            show this help message and exit 
  -R {CustomRole1,CustomRole2,CustomRole3,CustomRole4} 
                        custom role 
  -Pri {Login,ConfigureComponents,ConfigureSelf,Kvm,Vmm,SecurityMgmt,PowerControl,Diagnosis} [{Login,ConfigureComponents,ConfigureSelf,Kvm,Vmm,SecurityMgmt,PowerControl,Diagnosis} ...] 
                        custom role privilege. one or multiple values that are 
                        not duplicate can be set. use a space to separate 
                        multiple values
