Connection Exception Occurs During In-band Access

Solution

  1. Check whether the out-of-band access is normal. If the in-band and out-of-band access is abnormal, go to Step 2. If the out-of-band access is normal, check the in-band access operations of other uREST commands. If only the current in-band command is abnormal, go to Step 3.
  2. Check whether the SSL module is normal and whether the HTTPS service is enabled.
  3. Add --timeout=TIMEOUT to the command to set the timeout interval for accessing the iBMC Redfish interface. For details, see Using uREST tool. After the setting, check whether the in-band access is normal.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, go to Step 4.

  4. Run the lsmod command to check whether the host_edma_drv, host_cdev_drv, and host_veth_drv drivers are installed.

    • If yes, go to Step 5.
    • If no, install the host_edma_drv, host_cdev_drv, and host_veth_drv drivers.

  5. Run the ifconfig command to check whether the IPv6 service is enabled for the local link (lo) and virtual network device (veth).

    • If yes, go to Step 6.
    • If no, enable the IPv6 service for lo and veth.

  6. Run the ifconfig veth add fe80::9e7d:a3ff:fe28:6ff9/64 command and check whether the command can be executed.

  7. Run the ifconfig veth del fe80::9e7d:a3ff:fe28:6ff9 and ifconfig veth add fe80::9e7d:a3ff:fe28:6ff9/64 commands and check whether the commands can be executed.

    • If yes, go to Step 8.
    • If no, contact Huawei technical support.

  8. Run the ping6 fe80::9e7d:a3ff:fe28:6ffa%veth command to check whether the communication between the iBMA and iBMC is normal.

    • If yes, no further action is required.
    • If no, contact Huawei technical support.
