Set system boot information.

TaiShan servers do not support system boot mode setting.


./urest -H HOST -p PORT -U USERNAME -P PASSWORD --timeout=TIMEOUT setsysboot -T {None,Pxe,Floppy,Cd,Hdd,BiosSetup} -TS {Once,Disabled,Continues} -M {Legacy,UEFI} -MS {True,False} -Q [SEQUENCE [SEQUENCE ...]]






iBMC IP address or domain name. It is a mandatory parameter. If an IPv6 address is used, the IPv6 address must be included in square brackets, such as [1001::1001].



Port number. The default value is 443. It is an optional parameter.

Enter the port number if the default value 443 is not used.


iBMC user name. It is a mandatory parameter.



Password of the iBMC user. It is a mandatory parameter.



Timeout interval for accessing the iBMC Redfish interface. It is an optional parameter. The default value is 120 seconds.

The value ranges from 10 to 1000, and the unit is seconds.

-T {None,Pxe,Floppy,Cd,Hdd,BiosSetup}

Current boot device of the system. It is an optional parameter.

  • None
  • Pxe
  • Floppy
  • Cd
  • Hdd
  • BiosSetup

-TS {Once,Disabled,Continues}

System boot parameter enabling status. It is an optional parameter.

  • Disabled: The settings are invalid.
  • Once: The settings take effect only once upon the next restart.
  • Continuous: The settings are effective permanently.

-M {Legacy,UEFI}

System boot mode. It is an optional parameter.

  • Legacy
  • UEFI

-MS {True,False}

Boot mode switching enabling status. It is an optional parameter.

  • True: enabled
  • False: disabled


System boot sequence. It is an optional parameter.

Any sequence of Hdd, Cd, Pxe, and Others.

Obtain help information.

[root@localhost bin]# ./urest -H -U ****** -P ****** setsysboot -h

                             [-TS {Once,Disabled,Continues}]

optional arguments: 
  -h, --help            show this help message and exit 
  -T {None,Pxe,Floppy,Cd,Hdd,BiosSetup} 
                        boot source override target 
  -TS {Once,Disabled,Continues} 
                        boot source override Enabled 
  -M {Legacy,UEFI}      boot source override mode 
  -MS {True,False}      boot source override mode change enabled 
                        system boot order,four parameters that are not 
                        duplicate must be specified, example: -Q Cd Pxe Hdd 

Set system boot information.

[root@localhost bin]# ./urest -H -U ****** -P ****** setsysboot -T Cd -TS Once 
Success: successfully completed request

Query system boot information.

[root@localhost bin]# ./urest -H -U ****** -P ****** getsysboot
