Setting KVM Information

Function

Set KVM information.

Do not run the KVM when you set the KVM information.

Format

./urest -H HOST -p PORT -U USERNAME -P PASSWORD setkvm -ES {False,True} -US {False,True} -to TIMEOUT

Parameters

Description

Value

HOST

iBMC IP address or domain name. It is a mandatory parameter. If an IPv6 address is used, the IPv6 address must be included in square brackets, such as [1001::1001].

PORT

Port number. The default value is 443. It is an optional parameter.

Enter the port number if the default value 443 is not used.

USERNAME

iBMC user name. It is a mandatory parameter.

PASSWORD

Password of the iBMC user. It is a mandatory parameter.

-ES {False,True}

KVM encryption enabling. It is an optional parameter.

  • True: enabled
  • False: disabled
NOTE:

The TaiShan 200 (Model 1280), 1288X V5, and 2288X V5 do not support this parameter.

-US {False,True}

Persistent connection enabling of the virtual keyboard and mouse. It is an optional parameter.

  • True: enabled
  • False: disabled

TIMEOUT

Session timeout period. It is an optional parameter.

Range: 0 to 480. 0 indicates no timeout.

Obtain help information.

[root@localhost bin]# ./urest -H 10.10.10.10 -U ****** -P ****** setkvm -h

  -h, --help        show this help message and exit 
  -ES {False,True}  KVM encryption
