When you run the urest command on the Windows, the system displays a message indicating that the api-ms-win-crt-runtime-l1-1.0.dll file does not exist, as shown in Figure 4-4.

  • If the executor is connected to the network, install the update in the Windows Update. The following uses Windows Server 2012 R2 as an example:
    1. Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, and then tap Search. Or, if you are using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, and then click Search.
    2. In the search box, type Windows Update, and then tap or click Windows Update.
    3. In the details pane, click Check for updates, and then wait while Windows looks for the latest updates for your computer.
    4. If you see a message telling you that important or optional updates are available, or telling you to review important or optional updates, click the message to view the updates to install.
    5. In the list, select the check box for the updates that you want to install under Important or Optional, and then tap or click Install.
  • If the executor is not connected to the network, you need to manually download and install operating system components. For details, see solution.
