Set NTP information.

Format

HOST

iBMC IP address or domain name. It is a mandatory parameter. If an IPv6 address is used, the IPv6 address must be included in square brackets, such as [1001::1001].

PORT

Port number. The default value is 443. It is an optional parameter.

Enter the port number if the default value 443 is not used.

USERNAME

iBMC user name. It is a mandatory parameter.

PASSWORD

Password of the iBMC user. It is a mandatory parameter.

-M {Static,IPv4,IPv6}

NTP mode. It is an optional parameter.

  • Static: manual configuration
  • IPv4: automatically obtaining from the IPv4 protocol stack
  • IPv6: automatically obtaining from the IPv6 protocol stack

-S {True,False}

Whether to enable the NTP function. It is an optional parameter.

  • True: Enable the NTP function.
  • False: Disable the NTP function.

PREFERREDNTPSERVER

Preferred NTP server. It is an optional parameter.

  • IPv4 address
  • IPv6 address
  • Domain name (a non-Chinese string of 0 to 67 characters)

ALTERNATENTPSERVER

Alternate NTP server. It is an optional parameter.

  • IPv4 address
  • IPv6 address
  • Domain name (a non-Chinese string of 0 to 67 characters)

MINPOLLINGINTERVAL

Minimum synchronization interval. It is an optional parameter.

Range: 3 to 17

MAXPOLLINGINTERVAL

Maximum synchronization interval. It is an optional parameter.

Range: 3 to 17

-AUT {False,True}

Whether to enable the server authentication. It is an optional parameter.

  • True: Enable the server authentication.
  • False: Disable the server authentication.

Usage Guidelines

  • You can set the NTP mode to the IPv4 or IPv6 mode only when IPv4 or IPv6 is enabled for the server. If IPv4 or IPv6 is set to the manual mode and the current NTP mode is Static, the NTP mode cannot be set to the IPv4 or IPv6 mode.
  • The minimum synchronization interval must be smaller than or equal to the maximum synchronization interval.
