Clearing Log Information (clearlog)


The clearlog command is used to clear the iBMC operation log, running log, or security log.


ipmcset -d clearlog -v <value>


Parameter Description Value
<value> Indicates the type of the log to be cleared.
  • 0: operation log
  • 1: running log
  • 2: security log

Usage Guidelines

The iBMC version 2.70 (001) or later supports this command.


# Clear the iBMC operation log.

iBMC:/->ipmcset -d clearlog –v 0
WARNING: The operation may have many adverse effects.
