Setting the iBMC Network Port State (ethlink)


The maintenance -d ethlink command is used to set the state of the iBMC network port.


ipmcset -t maintenance -d ethlink -v <ethname> <action>


Parameter Description Value
ethname Specifies the iBMC network port to be set.
  • eth0
  • eth1
  • eth2
  • eth3

The number of iBMC network ports varies with the server model.

action Specifies the network port state.
  • enable
  • disable

Usage Guidelines



# Enable iBMC network port eth2.

iBMC:/->ipmcset -t maintenance -d ethlink -v eth2 enable
WARNING: This operation will enable eth2.

Enable eth2 successfully.
