Traffic Mirroring

In traffic mirroring, service traffic that matches configured rules is copied and then sent to observing ports for analysis and monitoring.

Figure 6-4 shows the process of traffic mirroring. The mirrored port copies service flow 2 that matches the rules to the observing port, which then forwards the copied service flow 2 to the monitoring device.

A traffic policy containing a traffic mirroring behavior can be applied globally, in a VLAN, or on a mirrored port. For details about traffic policies, see WMQC Configuration and ACL-based Simplified Traffic Policy Configuration in the S600-E V200R011C10 Configuration Guide - QoS.
