Feature Limitations

  • SNMPv1 and SNMPv2c lack of authentication capabilities, resulting in vulnerability to security threats. When security is a concern, SNMPv3 is recommended.
  • When multiple NMSs frequently access a device at the same time, the device responds to the NMSs slowly. In this case, you can reduce the access frequency of NMSs to ensure that the device can timely respond to the SNMP packets sent by NMSs.
