Configuring iPCA to Implement Device-Level Packet Loss Measurement

Pre-configuration Tasks

After device-level packet loss measurement is configured on a device, iPCA can measure the number of packets and packet loss ratio for a direct link or a device.

Before configuring iPCA to implement device-level packet loss measurement, complete the following tasks:
  • Configure static routes or routing protocols to ensure network connectivity between devices. For details, see S12700 V200R011C10 Configuration Guide - IP Unicast Routing.
  • Configure NTP to implement time synchronization between the devices. For details, see NTP Configuration in the S12700 V200R011C10 Configuration Guide - Device Management.

Configuration Procedure

Configuring iPCA to Implement Packet Loss Measurement on a Device and Configuring iPCA to Implement Packet Loss Measurement on a Direct Link can be performed in any sequence. You can select one of them or both of them according to your needs.
