(Optional) Configuring an Interface to Allow Only PPPoE Packets to Pass

(Optional) Configuring an Interface to Allow Only PPPoE Packets to Pass

Context

To allow host users to access the network using only PPPoE, you can configure the user-side interface on the switch between the PPPoE server and user hosts to allow only PPPoE packets from a specified user to pass. The interface then discards other types of packets from the user and all types of packets from other users.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run interface interface-type interface-number

    An interface is created and the interface view is displayed.

  3. Run traffic-pppoe { any | source-address } { any | destination-address }

    The interface is configured to allow only PPPoE packets to pass.

    By default, an interface allows all packets to pass.
