Creation Restriction

The entries in this table can be created only when the MAC address mask is all Fs.

MAC-address-based VLANs are classified according to the source MAC addresses of packets. After receiving untagged packets through an interface, a device determines the VLANs to which the packets belong according to their source addresses before sending them to corresponding VLANs. This feature is used to send packets with specified source MAC addresses to specified VLANs.

Modification Restriction

The entries in this table can be modified only when the MAC address mask is all Fs, and only the priority can be modified.

Deletion Restriction

The entries in this table can be deleted only when the MAC address mask is all Fs.

Access Restriction

The entries in this table can be read only when the MAC address mask is all Fs.
