Displaying the Memory Usage

Displaying the Memory Usage

Context

Memory usage is an important performance indicator of a device. A high memory usage will cause service faults. You can view the memory usage of a device in real time to determine whether the device is running stably.

You can view the memory usage threshold to check the alarm generation conditions.
  • When memory usage reaches the alarm threshold, the system generates a memory usage alarm.
  • When memory usage falls below the recovery threshold, the system generates a clear alarm.

Procedure

  • Run the display memory-usage [ slave | slot slot-id ] [ vcpu vcpu ] command to view memory usage statistics.

    NOTE:

The slave parameter is not supported if the switch does not support the stacking function or does not have the stacking function enabled.

Only the S5720HI supports the vcpu vcpu parameter.

  • Run the display memory-usage threshold [ slot slot-id ] command to view the memory usage threshold.
