Configuring Smart-discover
Context
If the neighbor status of a switch or the DR/BDR on a multi-access network (broadcast or NBMA network) changes before Smart-discover is configured, the switch does not send Hello packets to its neighbor until the Hello timer expires. This slows down the establishment of neighbor relationships between devices. To resolve this problem, configure Smart-discover to allow the switch to send Hello packets to its neighbor immediately without waiting for the expiration of the Hello timer.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run interface interface-type interface-number
