Improving the Security of an OSPF Network

Applicable Environment

On an OSPF network demanding high security, configure OSPF authentication and the Generalized TTL Security Mechanism (GTSM) to improve the security of the OSPF network.


GTSM supports only unicast addresses; therefore, in OSPF, GTSM takes effect on virtual links and sham links.
