Functions Overview

HUAWEI-TCP-MIB is a private MIB of Huawei. This MIB involves the following objects:

  • hwTCPProtocal: shows which protocol adopts MD5 authentication.

  • hwTCPVrfName: shows to which VPN a TCP connection belongs.

  • hwTCPMD5AuthenFail: indicates that Trap packets are sent after MD5 authentication fails.

This object indicates that a Trap message will be sent if MD5 authentication fails.

The Trap message contains the following information:

  • Local IP address and port number
  • Remote IP address and port number
  • Protocol type

When MD5 authentication fails, the Trap message is sent to the information center and displayed on the terminal.

This object is implemented as defined in the corresponding MIB files.
