Context
You can configure the switch to discard packets with an all-0 source or destination MAC address.
Procedure
Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
Run drop illegal-mac enable
The switch is enabled to discard packets with an all-0 MAC address.
By default, the switch does not discard packets with an all-0 MAC address.
(Optional) Run drop illegal-mac alarm
The switch is configured to send an alarm to the NMS when receiving packets with an all-0 MAC address.
By default, the switch does not send an alarm when receiving packets with an all-0 MAC address.
NOTE:
The drop illegal-mac alarm command allows the switch to generate one alarm. You must reconfigure the drop illegal-mac alarm command if more than one alarm is required.
Verifying the Configuration
Run the display current-configuration command to check whether the switch is enabled to discard packets with an all-0 MAC address.
