Configuring a Blackhole MAC Address Entry

Context

To protect a device or network against MAC address attacks from hackers, configure MAC addresses of untrusted users as blackhole MAC addresses. The device then directly discards the received packets of which the source or destination MAC addresses match the blackhole MAC address entries.

Procedure

  1. Run system-view

    The system view is displayed.

  2. Run mac-address blackhole mac-address [ vlan vlan-id | vsi vsi-name ]

A blackhole MAC address entry is configured.

Verifying the Configuration

Run the display mac-address blackhole command to check configured blackhole MAC address entries.
