Collecting VLAN Traffic Statistics

Context

You can enable traffic statistics collection in a VLAN and view traffic statistics about the VLAN to monitor VLAN traffic.

Procedure

  • Check VLAN traffic statistics.
    1. (Optional) Run the vlan statistics interval command in the system view to set the interval for VLAN traffic statistics collection.
    2. Run the statistic enable command in the VLAN view to enable VLAN traffic statistics collection.

      NOTE:

      The X series cards do not collect statistics on packets sent to the CPU in a VLAN.

    3. Run the display vlan vlan-id statistics [ slot slot-id ] command in any view to check traffic statistics about a specified VLAN.
  • Check traffic statistics about a VLANIF interface.
    1. Run the display interface vlanif [ vlan-id ] command in any view to check traffic statistics about a VLANIF interface.
