Feature Limitations

  • MFF can be enabled in a maximum of 512 VLANs on the X series cards, E series cards (excluding EH1D2X48SEC0 card on S9700), BC card, ACU2 card, and 64 VLANs on other cards.

  • When the number of MFF-enabled VLANs reaches the limit, the MFF function can still be enabled in other VLANs if there are ample ACL resources on the device.

  • To improve security, you are advised to perform the following configurations when configuring MFF:
    • Configure DAI in the corresponding VLAN.
    • Configure static binding entries for users connected to the device. (Run the user-bind static ip-address start-ip to end-ip command in the system view to configure static binding entries for all users connected to the device.)
    • Configure the network-side interface as a trusted interface.
