This document describes IP Unicast Routing configurations supported by the switch, including the principle and configuration procedures of IP Routing Overview, Static Route, RIP, RIPng, OSPF, OSPFv3, IS-IS(IPv4), IS-IS(IPv6), BGP, Routing Policy ,and PBR, and provides configuration examples.

Configuring P2MP Network Attributes


  1. Disable OSPF from checking the network mask.
    1. Run system-view

      The system view is displayed.

    2. Run interface interface-type interface-number

      The interface view is displayed.

    3. (Optional) On an Ethernet interface, run undo portswitch

      The interface is switched to Layer 3 mode.

      By default, an Ethernet interface works in Layer 2 mode.

    4. Run ospf network-type p2mp

      The network type of the OSPF interface is configured.

      A P2MP network is forcibly changed from another type of network. For details, see Configuring Network Types for OSPF Interfaces.

    5. Run ospf p2mp-mask-ignore

      OSPF is disabled from checking the network mask on the P2MP network.

    6. Run quit

      Exit from the interface view.

  2. (Optional) Set the cost for the OSPF route to a specified neighbor on a P2MP network.

    By default, the cost of an OSPF route to a neighbor equals the interface cost on a P2MP network. If this default cost is not suitable, run the p2mp-peer command to set a desired cost.

    1. Run ospf [ process-id ]

      The OSPF process view is displayed.

    2. Run p2mp-peer ip-address cost cost

      A cost is set for an OSPF route to a specified neighbor on a P2MP network.

  3. Configure the switch to filter the LSA packets to be sent.

    When multiple links exist between two switches, you can configure the local switch to filter the LSA packets to be sent. This can reduce unnecessary LSA retransmission attempts and save bandwidth resources.

    1. Run ospf [ process-id ]

      The OSPF process view is displayed.

    2. Run filter-lsa-out peer ip-address { all | { summary [ acl { acl-number | acl-name } ] | ase [ acl { acl-number | acl-name } ] | nssa [ acl { acl-number | acl-name } ] } * }

      The local switch is configured to filter the LSA packets to be sent on the P2MP network.

      By default, the LSA packets to be sent are not filtered.
