Performing an ISSU Upgrade

Procedure

  1. Run the issu check system-software system-file command in the user view to perform ISSU check.

Table 9-3  Interactive information during ISSU check

    Interactive Information

    Description

Warning: The value of the ISSU rollback timer is 120 minutes. The system will begin the ISSU upgrade. The current configuration will be saved to the new version's startup configuration file. Continue? [Y/N]

    • If you enter y, the system performs ISSU check, and the ISSU rollback timer is activated.

    • If you enter n, the system stops executing the issu check command and exits from ISSU.

    NOTE:
    • Before the ISSU check phase ends, you can press Ctrl+C to abort ISSU. Then the system continues ISSU check until ISSU check finishes. You cannot continue ISSU but only run the issu abort command to exit from ISSU.

    • After this step is performed, operational and configuration commands except ISSU commands and some query commands will be shielded. You can enter a question mark (?) to check which commands can be executed.

  3. (Optional) Run the issu abort in the user view to abort ISSU.

To abort ISSU, perform this step. To continue ISSU, skip this step and go to 4.
