Pre-configuration Tasks

Before configuring basic IPv6 IS-IS functions, complete the following tasks:

  • Enable the IPv6 forwarding capability on the device.

  • Configure IPv6 addresses for interfaces to ensure that neighboring nodes are reachable at the network layer.

Configuration Procedure

  1. Create an IS-IS process.
  2. Configure a network entity title (NET).
  3. Configure a device level.
  4. Establish an IS-IS neighbor relationship.
