Establishing and Maintaining an OSPFv3 Neighbor Relationship

Establishing and Maintaining an OSPFv3 Neighbor Relationship

Applicable Environment

Establishing and maintaining OSPFv3 neighbor relationships is necessary for the construction of an OSPFv3 network. The configurations in this section allow you to:

  • Modify OSPFv3 timers to adjust the convergence speed of the OSPFv3 network and the network load caused by protocol packets.

  • Configure the OSPFv3 retransmission limitation to prevent non-stop packet retransmissions if the neighbor does not receive packets.

  • Adjust the intervals for updating and receiving LSAs to speed up the convergence of an OSPFv3 network.

Pre-configuration Tasks

Before establishing or maintaining an OSPFv3 neighbor relationship, configure basic OSPFv3 functions.
