Setting the Interval for Sending Update Packets and Maximum Number of Sent Packets
Context
To limit memory resources occupied by RIPng Update packets, set the interval for sending RIPng Update packets and the maximum number of Update packets to be sent at a time to appropriate values.
Procedure
- Run system-view
The system view is displayed.
- Run interface interface-type interface-number
The interface view is displayed.
- (Optional) On an Ethernet interface, run undo portswitch
The interface is switched to Layer 3 mode.
By default, an Ethernet interface works in Layer 2 mode. - Run ripng pkt-transmit { interval interval | number pkt-count }*
The interval for sending RIPng Update packets and the maximum number of Update packets to be sent at a time are set.
