Deactivating a Traffic Control Policy

In a storage system where only one type of applications are available or all LUNs, snapshots or file systems need the same number of resources, you can deactivate the SmartQoS policy because adjusting and controlling the performance of I/O classes is unnecessary.

Prerequisites

The SmartQoS policy that you want to deactivate is in the Running state or Idle state.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Resource Performance Tuning > SmartQoS.
  3. Click the Traffic Control tab.
  4. Deactivate a traffic control policy.

    1. Select the traffic control policy you want to deactivate.
    2. Choose More > Deactivate.

      The security alert dialog box is displayed.

    3. Click OK.

      The Execution Result message box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.

    4. Click Close.
