Adding a Object

Select the objects on a specific application program to set them as the control objects of the traffic control policy.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Provisioning > Resource Performance Tuning > SmartQoS.
  3. Click the Traffic Control tab.
  4. Go to the Add Object dialog box.

    1. In the upper part of the left function pane, select the traffic control policy to which you want to add object.
    2. choose More > Add Object.

      The Add Object dialog box is displayed.

  5. Select the object you want to add.

    The object can be LUN, Snapshot, or Normal Policy. Click the right arrow to add the object to the list.

    NOTE:

    Note that Normal Policy can be added only when Type of the traffic control policy is Hierarchical.

  6. Confirm the adding of the object.

    1. Click OK.

      The security alert dialog box is displayed.

    2. Carefully read the content in the dialog box. Then select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation for confirmation.
    3. Click OK.

      The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.

    4. Click Close.
