Checking the License File

Checking the License File

A license file grants the permission to use a specific value-added feature. Before configuring SmartTier, ensure that its license file is valid.

Context

On DeviceManager, check whether SmartTier is displayed in the Feature colume on the license management page.

Precautions

The capacity of the SmartTier license for 18000 series storage systems must be equal to or greater than the total capacity of the storage pools to which LUNs configured with SmartTier belong. The following is a capacity calculation example.
