Checking the SmartQoS License
A license grants permission to use SmartQoS. Before you configure SmartQoS, ensure that it has been licensed.
Prerequisites
A license file that contains the SmartQoS license information has been imported into the storage system.
Context
On the DeviceManager interface, SmartQoS is displayed in Feature as SmartQoS.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
Settings >
License Management.
- Check the active license files.
- For V500R007C10 and earlier versions, perform the following steps to check the activated license file:
- In the navigation tree on the left, choose Active License.
- In the middle information pane, verify the information about active license files.
- For V500R007C20 and later versions, you can view all activated license files in the function pane at the lower part of the License Management page.
- For V500R007C10 and earlier versions, perform the following steps to check the activated license file:
Follow-up Procedure
- If no license for SmartQoS is available, apply for and import a license file by following instructions in the Installation Guide specific to your storage system.
- If the storage system generates an alarm indicating that the license expired, obtain and import the license again.
