Modifying the Target Properties of a SmartPartition

Procedure

1. Log in to DeviceManager.
2. Choose Provisioning > Resource Performance Tuning > SmartPartition.
3. Select the SmartPartition you want to modify and click Properties.

   The SmartPartition Properties page is displayed.

4. Change the Read Partition Size and Write Partition Size of the SmartPartition.
   1. Click the Objective tab.
   2. Change the Read Partition Size and Write Partition Size to suit your service needs.

      Table 3-2 describes related parameters.

      Table 3-2 SmartPartition control parameters

      Parameter	Description	Value
      Read Partition Size	Read partition size of the SmartPartition.	[Value range] The value cannot exceed the available read partition. Optional units are MB and GB. The value of a read partition must be at least 256 MB and an integral multiple of 128 MB. When the entered value is not an integral multiple, the system automatically changes the value to one that meets requirements. [Example] 384 MB
      Write Partition Size	Write partition size of the SmartPartition.	[Value range] The value cannot exceed the available write partition. Optional units are MB and GB. The value of a write partition must be at least 256 MB and an integral multiple of 128 MB. When the entered value is not an integral multiple, the system automatically changes the value to one that meets requirements. [Example] 384 MB

   3. Click OK.

      The Caution message box is displayed.

   4. Click OK.

      The Execution Result message box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.

   5. Click Close.
