Viewing SmartPartition Information

Context

A license file that contains the SmartPartition license information has been imported into the storage system.

Procedure

1. Log in to DeviceManager.
2. Choose Provisioning > Resource Performance Tuning > SmartPartition.
3. View the SmartPartition information.

   Table 3-1 describes related parameters.

   Table 3-1 SmartPartition parameters

   Parameter	Description	Setting
   Name	Name of a SmartPartition task.	[Value range] Name a SmartPartition in accordance with the following rules so that the cache partition is compatible with host applications. The name must be unique. The name can contain only letters, digits, periods (.), underscores (_), and hyphens (-). The value contains 1 to 31 characters. [Example] CachePartition001
   ID	ID of a SmartPartition task.	[Example] 1
   Type	Type of a SmartPartition task.	[Example] Custom
   Engine	Engine where SmartPartition resides.	[Example] StorageEngine000
   Read Partition Size	Read partition size of the SmartPartition.	[Value range] The value cannot exceed the available read partition. Optional units are MB and GB. The value of a read partition must be at least 256 MB and an integral multiple of 128 MB. When the entered value is not an integral multiple, the system automatically changes the value to one that meets requirements. [Example] 384 MB
   Write Partition Size	Write partition size of the SmartPartition.	[Value range] The value cannot exceed the available write partition. Optional units are MB and GB. The value of a write partition must be at least 256 MB and an integral multiple of 128 MB. When the entered value is not an integral multiple, the system automatically changes the value to one that meets requirements. [Example] 384 MB
