Creating a Role

Creating a Role

The system uses roles to control operation permissions of objects. After a user is assigned a role, the user has the operation permissions of the role. The storage system provides typical default roles. If default roles cannot meet your requirements, you can create roles.

Context

Only super administrators can create a role.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Settings > Permission Settings > Role Management.
  3. In the function pane, click Add.

The Set Name dialog box is displayed.
