Changing the Owning vStore of an Initiator
After a Fibre Channel or iSCSI connection is set up, the initiator is automatically mapped to the system view of the storage system. You can change the owning vStore of the initiator in the system view to allocate an initiator to the specified vStore.
Context
Super administrators, administrators, and SAN resource administrators can change the owning vStore of an initiator.
Procedure
- Choose
Provisioning >
Host > Initiator.
- Click Change vStore.
The Change vStore dialog box is displayed.
- Select an initiator for change.
- In Initiator Type, select an initiator type.
- In the Initiator Type area, select one or multiple initiators based on your service need.
- Click
to add the selected initiators to the Selected Initiators area.
- Select an owning vStore or system for the initiator.
- Select vStore.
Click
and select the vStore to which the initiator belongs.
- Select System to enable the system to own the initiator.
- Select vStore.
- Confirm the vStore change.
- Click OK.
The security alert dialog box is displayed.
- Confirm the information in the dialog box and select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation.
- Click OK.
The Execution Result dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.
- Click Close to complete the vStore change.
- Click OK.
