Forcing Users to Change the Password
If the super administrator discovers that the password of a user encounters security risks (for example, the login IP addresses vary and incorrect passwords are entered for many times), the super administrator can force the user to change its password upon the next login.
Context
Only the super administrator can force a user to change its password upon the next login.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
vStore > Details > Permission Settings > User Management.
- Select the user whose password needs to be forcibly changed upon the next login and click Must change the password upon next login in the lower area of the list.
Confirm the information in the dialog box and select I have read and understand the consequences associated with performing this operation.
- Click OK.
The Success dialog box is displayed.
- Click OK. You have finished forcing the user to change its password upon the next login.
- Log in to DeviceManager as the user that needs to change its password.
The security alert dialog box is displayed, asking you to change your password.
- Click OK.
The Change Password dialog box is displayed.
- Fill in Old password, New password, and Confirm password.
- Click OK. You have finished changing your password.
