Checking Alarm Information of a Storage System
An alarm list contains the pertaining details on the existing items in a storage system. Detailed descriptions and troubleshooting suggestions are provided to each alarm in the list for fault rectification.
Procedure
- Log in to OceanStor DeviceManager.
- Choose
Monitor >
Alarms and Events.
The Alarms and Events page is displayed.
- Click Current Alarms.
- Optional: Set Occurred At.
Occurred At can be All or Custom.
- All: indicates that you can view all the alarms that have not been cleared.
- Custom: indicates that you can view the alarms generated in a self-defined period of time and not cleared. If Custom is selected, you need to define a time period.
- Optional: Set Level of the alarms that you want to view and then click Search.
Level can be set to All, Critical, Major, or Warning.
- Select an alarm. Its details will be displayed in the right pane.
Details of an alarm include Level, Device Name, Device Location, ID, Occurred At, Details, and Suggestion. Troubleshoot the fault based on the details.
- Optional: Clear the alarm after the fault is rectified.
- On the list, select the alarm that you want to clear and click Clear.
- In the Caution dialog box that is displayed, click OK.
- In the Execution Result dialog box that is displayed, click Close.
- Optional: Export alarms.
Choose Save As > Save All, or select the alarms that you want to export and choose Save As > Save Selected. Then perform operations as prompted.
The alarm information is exported into a .tgz file (Save All) or .xls file (Save Selected).
