Disabling Protection for the Secondary Resources of a Consistency Group

By performing this operation, you can disable protection for secondary resources of all remote replication pairs in a consistency group. Data can be written into the secondary resources again.


Based on Running Status of a consistency group and Secondary Resource Data Status of the remote replication pairs added to the consistency group, determine whether protection for the secondary resources can be disabled for the consistency group, as shown in Table 3-32.

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Choose Data Protection > Remote Replication > Remote Replication Consistency Group.
  3. Disable protection for secondary resources.

    1. Select the consistency group you want to disable protection for secondary resources.
    2. Choose More > Disable Protection for Secondary Resource.

      The Success dialog box is displayed.

    3. Click OK.
