Configuration Process

This section describes how to configure remote replication. You can set up a pair relationship between the primary and secondary resources to implement data synchronization.

Figure 3-1 shows the process for configuring remote replication.

Unless otherwise specified, the operations of checking the license file, configuring IP addresses for ports, and adding routes must be performed on both the primary and secondary storage systems. The operation of adding a remote device can be performed on either storage system. The operations of creating a remote replication pair and a consistency group must be performed on the primary storage system.
