Synchronizing Information from a Remote Device to a Local Device

By performing this operation, you can synchronize information from a remote device to a local device. The information includes status and names of the secondary resources and name of the remote device.

Prerequisites

  • The local storage device is properly connected to the remote storage device.
  • A remote replication pair has been created.

Procedure

  1. Log in to DeviceManager.
  2. Go to the remote replication pair page.

    The operation path varies with user types:

    • System user: Click vStore, select the desired vStore, and click Details to go to the vStore view. Choose Data Protection > Remote Replication > Remote Replication Pair.
    • vStore user: In the vStore view, choose Data Protection > Remote Replication > Remote Replication Pair.

  3. Choose More > Synchronize Remote Status.

    The Success dialog box is displayed, indicating that the operation succeeded.

  4. Click OK.
