Synchronizing a Mirror Copy
After a mirror LUN is created, you can synchronize all data on the mirror LUN to a mirror copy.
Prerequisites
- If there is only one mirror copy in the system, data cannot be synchronized to the mirror copy.
- Health Status of the mirror LUN and its mirror copies must be Normal.
- Running Status of the mirror copy to which data is to be synchronized must be Split.
Procedure
- Log in to DeviceManager.
- Choose
Data Protection >
HyperMirror.
- In the left information pane, select the HyperMirror for which you want to implement synchronization.
- Synchronize a mirror copy.
- In the lower function pane, select the mirror copy that you want to synchronize and click Synchronize.
The Success dialog box is displayed indicating that the operation succeeded.
You can also right-click the mirror copy that you want to synchronize and choose Synchronize from the shortcut menu.
- Click OK.
- In the lower function pane, select the mirror copy that you want to synchronize and click Synchronize.
