Powering On a Key Management Server

Powering On a Key Management Server

After connecting network cables of the key management servers, connect power cables and power on the key management servers.

  • You have installed and connected network cables of the key management servers.
  • You have prepared the power cables.
  • You need to power on both of the two key management servers.

  1. Wear ESD gloves and ESD wrist straps.
  2. Unpack power cables and adapter cables.
  3. Insert one end of the power cable to the power socket on the rear of the key management server, and the other end to the external power supply.
  4. If the external power supply is not turned on, turn it on.

The key management servers have no power switches. After their power cables are connected and the external power supplies are turned on, key management servers will automatically power on. The LCD on the key management server will flash slowly for approximately one minute and display the initialization information. The startup of a key management server takes several minutes. After the startup is complete, the LCD displays a message indicating that the server is ready.

  5. Repeat 3 and 4 to power on the other key management server.
