Cluster Management

Cluster Management

You can delete a member from the cluster when necessary.

Deleting a Cluster Member

After you delete a cluster member, the configurations will not be synchronized between the two key management servers.

  1. Enable the maintenance mode on both key management servers in the cluster. For details, see Enabling the Maintenance Mode of the Key Management Servers.
  2. Log in to the web interface of either key management server as user officer.
  3. Click the Replication tab.

    Cluster member information is displayed.

  4. Select the member that you want to remove and click Delete.

A dialog box is displayed for confirmation.

  5. Click OK.
Follow-up Procedure

If you add a member, which was deleted earlier, to the cluster again, the key management servers will not synchronize their data automatically. You must back up the source key management server's configurations, synchronize the configurations from the source to the target key management server, and add the member to the cluster again. For details, see Backing Up the Configurations of the Source Key Management Server and Restoring the Configurations to the Target Key Management Server.
