This document is applicable to OceanStor 5110 V5, 5110F V5, 5300 V5, 5300F V5, 5500 V5, 5500F V5, 5600 V5, 5600F V5, 5800 V5, 5800F V5, 6800 V5, and 6800F V5 storage systems. It describes hardware installation of those storage systems for helping you easily and quickly finish the installation.

Installing Front-End Plastic Panels

Installing Front-End Plastic Panels

After the storage system has been installed, powered on, and is running properly, install the front-end plastic panels for a neat appearance.


The storage system is correctly powered on, and the status of device indicators are normal.

The following panels are required:

  • Front-end plastic panels for 2 U devices
  • Front-end plastic panels for 3 U devices
  • Front-end plastic panels for 4 U devices


The 6 U device has no front-end plastic panel. You do not need to install such a panel.


  1. Take out a front-end plastic panel. Align the upper side of the panel with that of the device.
  2. Use the panel to cover the front side of the device, as shown in Figure 9-1, Figure 9-2, and Figure 9-3. Then, release the handles.

  3. Verify that the front-end plastic panels are properly installed.
