This document describes the types of cabinets used for storage systems.

N610E Cabinet

This section describes the functions, appearance, physical structure, heat dissipation, and technical specifications of N610E cabinets.

Functions

The N610E cabinet conforms to the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 60297-2 standard. The N610E cabinet is designed with a modular structure, which facilitates expansion and maintenance.

Appearance

The surface of the cabinet and the rack is purplish gray, as shown in Figure 5-17.

ESD Jack

Before installing the N610E cabinet, you must wear an ESD wrist strap and ensure that the connector of the ESD wrist strap is connected properly to the ESD jack in the middle of the N610E cabinet, as shown in Figure 5-19.

Heat Dissipation

The front door, rear door, and bottom plate of the N610E cabinet have high-density air vents. Therefore, the N610E cabinet supports front air intake, back air exhaust, and upper air exhaust and provides good heat dissipation performance.

  • An N610E AC cabinet is equipped with one PDB. The actual available space of such a cabinet is 40 U.
  • An N610E DC cabinet is equipped with two PDBs. The actual available space of such a cabinet is 36 U.

An N610E AC cabinet is equipped with one power distribution box (PDB).

  • Single-phase 220 V 32 A: supports 1+1 single-phase 220 V 32 A inputs, 2+2 single-phase 220 V 32 A inputs, or 3+3 single-phase 220 V 32 A inputs.
  • Three-phase 380 V 32 A: supports 1+1 three-phase 380 V 32 A inputs.

Provides 12+12 C13 outputs.

NOTE:

In 1+1 single-phase power supply mode, the maximum power consumption of all devices in a cabinet cannot exceed 6336 W.

N610E DC cabinet

An N610E DC cabinet is equipped with two DC PDBs. Each DC PDB supports 1+1 -48 V DC inputs, and each input supports a maximum of 100 A.

One of the PDBs provides 6+6 10 A outputs, and the other provides 2+2 20 A outputs and 6+6 10 A outputs.

Table 5-5 lists the requirements of the N610E cabinet for the equipment room environment.

  • The temperature and relative humidity are measured 1.5 m above the ground and 0.4 m in front of the cabinet.
  • Short term is defined as a period less than 48 consecutive hours and 15 accumulative days per year.

FR42612L Cabinet

This section describes the function, exterior, physical structure, ESD jack, and technical specifications of an FR42612L cabinet.

Function

The FR42612L cabinet complies with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) 60297-1 and is an assembled cabinet for ease of expansion. The distance between front and rear mounting bars in the cabinet can be adjusted at a minimum unit of 25 mm. The FR42612L cabinet has the following functions:

  • Delivers space for accommodating components that can be interconnected.
  • Is equipped with castors to facilitate movement on a flat floor or a gradient that slopes to less than or equal to 10 degrees.
  • Protects components from dust.
  • Prevents components from being damaged.
Exterior

The exterior of an FR42612L cabinet is in sand texture black. Figure 5-20 shows an FR42612L cabinet.

Physical Structure

The FR42612L cabinet consists of the racks, front doors, back doors, side panels, cover, and mounting bars, as shown in Figure 5-21.

ESD Jack

The FR42612L cabinet provides two electrostatic discharge (ESD) jacks. When installing or maintaining an FR cabinet, wear an ESD wrist strap and insert the other end into an ESD jack, as shown in Figure 5-22.

Power supply and power distribution

An FR42612L cabinet supports two types of PDUs, namely, single-phase 220 V 32 A PDU and three-phase 380 V 32 A PDU. Each cabinet must be equipped with two PDUs of the same type.

  • When single-phase 220 V 32 A PDUs are used:
    • Input: Two single-phase 32 A inputs must be provided for each cabinet.
    • Output: Each PDU provides twenty C13 outputs and four C19 outputs.
NOTE:

In single-phase power supply mode, the maximum power consumption of all devices in a cabinet cannot exceed 6336 W.

  • When three-phase 380 V 32 A PDUs are used:
    • Input: Two three-phase 32 A inputs must be provided for each cabinet.
    • Output: Each PDU provides twenty-four C13 outputs and three C19 outputs.
NOTE:
  • Operating temperature and humidity are measured 1.5 m above the floor and 0.4 m in front of the device in the equipment room.
  • Short-term operation means that the consecutive operating time does not exceed 48 hours, and the annual accumulative operating time does not exceed 15 days.
